The first online India tax return tool was released on Friday and it is already attracting a lot of interest, particularly from businesses and individuals looking to get their tax returns in order.

Tax return queries can be made in Hindi, English, Gujarati and Punjabi.
Tax returns for the year 2016 are due to be submitted by March 31, 2017.
The app was launched by the Indian government in 2016 and it allows users the option to download tax returns on the smartphone app.
The tax return portal was launched with the objective of providing tax relief to the lower middle class.
Taxpayers can choose to have their tax return uploaded on the portal or have the returns sent to the tax department.
They are then presented with a link to the relevant tax department, which then makes the tax return available to the public.
The company, which is backed by Flipkart and Snapdeal, is hoping to expand to other countries like the US and Canada.
The app currently has over 5.5 million registered users across 20 countries.
