Utah Unclaimed property roundup

2/4/2016 | Updated 2/5/2016 3:11:20 Utah Unowned property has been found by Utah authorities in the city of Las Vegas, according to The Associated Press.

The property, in the middle of the Strip, is located about a mile west of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

It was reported to the Las Vegans Bureau of Land Management in March.

The bureau did not return an email request for comment.

The property was discovered when a BLM ranger found a truck parked on a paved roadway, the Associated Press reported.

BLM agents went to the truck and found several large trees with a water source on top, the AP reported.

The ranger also discovered a log and some rocks on top of the truck.

A BLM spokesman said the agency does not comment on ongoing investigations.

BLM said in a statement to the AP that the agency has been working with the Las vegas Bureau of Water and Power to assess the impact the discovery has on water sources.

BLM did not say when the agency expects to complete the investigation.
